Why are you and Mark telling me to calm and simmer down?

I am quite calm. You are the one cussing at me. Sheesh.

Where in my posts am I displaying not being calm?

I am always calm friend. I live in Oregon remember. :hippie:

But if you want me to not be calm I can post like that also.

Up to you.... Just say when...

Statistically the SEC has been the best conference the past 7 years. Some years better than others, but it's been the best. Last year was the closest I'd seen in that time, but still a tad bit better than the Pac12.

It will come to an end eventually, that's just the way college football is. But it seems pretty clear to me the author of the article in the OP is just trolling for clicks. I mean playing 9 conference games is somehow a indication of a strong conference? He even goes so far as to make the argument over OOC strength of scheduling, etc.

Can't wait for next week to get here.

Well, with more chances at losing ie an extra conf game and a tougher ooc schedule....

Gives a team not as good a chance in appearing in a NCG yearly.

So I can see his angle. Not saying I agree or disagree with it, because I and I assume you as well want to avoid going down that tired road again. lol

Child??

It was a ho hum win against a ho hum team. About an hour from your campus. Wasn't nearly as exciting as when Joey beat you.

No, not deflection. You all let out a longhorn who claimed big12, sec, and PAC are equals.

Not the case. That is where this came from.

And no, I have...

1 SEC
2 PAC
3 big12
4or5 B1G / ACC

Just like most

and you're entitled to your opinion, but really, the Pac is not as great as you think it is. Once your team goes up against a physical defense with a physical front line, Oregon is done. UCLA is all hype right now and Stanford lost a lot of talent. Plus, like I said, your South champ was raped thoroughly by one of the worst Big 12 teams last year. We'll just have to see how it plays out, but all it is right now is speculation.

Well yeah I can agree with all that. But it's not an argument for which conference is stronger.

The Pac12 was improved last year and the SEC was down as far as I measured. That's where I see an argument for conference strength.

I think Uncle Phil in my avi makes people think I am scolding them when I post.

Might need to change that, cuz I am usually super relaxed en sech.

I've always thought you were pretty laid back. Never was a fan of pushing your conference or chanting for your conference. I believe in rivalries. But I do bieve a few PAC teams could run with a lot of teams from other conferences. Can't wait for USC bama

As far as Oregon vs physical team with physical line.

Ya, 4 of Oregon's 7 losses came to these teams over the last 5 years.

But all were also top 10 teams.

Very good teams with these attributes give Oregon problems. As they do with everyone else they play... As they only lose 1 or 2 games a year.

Zona , SC, not so physical. Still lost to them.

Stanford 2010 Stanford 2011 very physical under Harbs and Shaw. But Oregpn scored 105 points on em in those years.

Last 2 years, great Stanford players were better on the fronts man to man.

Simple.

I was at that Holiday Bowl, damn good game. Christina Simms throws two perfect passes in the endzone that would have beaten the Ducks but Roy Williams and BJ Johnson drop them :L

Results from last year:

Utah beat Stanford
Stanford beat UCLA
UCLA beat Nebraska
Nebraska beat Georgia
Georgia beat LSU
LSU beat Auburn

Therefore, Utah was much better than Auburn. And the Pac-12 was better than the SEC.
