Big 12 is and always will be a joke. Just ask Mizzou, aTm, NU and CU.

Well it doesn't help the strength of the Big12 when you are losing teams like that to other conferences, and having to go down into the non power5 conferences for replacements.

I'm sure Texas and Oklahoma will stay traditional powers, but overall that is going to hurt the conference strength.

Big 12 is nowhere near PAC or SEC.

8 preseason AA for PAC and SEC. 1 for big12

3 teams ranked in top 11 for PAC and 6 overall preseason. 3 total for big 12.

SEC is everywhere in polls.

Big12 has Oklahoma and Baylor.... Those are the only 2 good teams.

Every time Oregon plays a big 12 school over the last 6 years the games aren't competitive.

I have yet to understand why so many sec fans get their jimmies so rustled when someone claims a conference was better than them in a single year. You can't possibly believe the same conference is hands down the best conference in football every. single. year. Over the span of the last 5 - 10 years the SEC has been collectively the best. That doesn't mean it is that way every year.

But you won't find many if any cfb fans that arent blind homers that have the big 12 as a whole on equal footing as the PAC.

Statistically the SEC has been the best conference the past 7 years. Some years better than others, but it's been the best. Last year was the closest I'd seen in that time, but still a tad bit better than the Pac12.

It will come to an end eventually, that's just the way college football is. But it seems pretty clear to me the author of the article in the OP is just trolling for clicks. I mean playing 9 conference games is somehow a indication of a strong conference? He even goes so far as to make the argument over OOC strength of scheduling, etc.

Can't wait for next week to get here.

Well I like the Pac 12 this year, so I would agree with anyone that says they are neck and neck with the SEC right now. They are looking really good from top to bottom, if USC can get back to being decent, Petersen can work his magic at Washington, and Wash st. keeps improving, they will have a solid slate of good, bowl winning teams.

I think the Big 12 and B1G are pretty close for 3rd place. It's hard to choose, I really like Mich St. and Wisconsin out of the B1G, but the Big 12 is probably better top to bottom. jmo.
