Well Sandoval talked with Amy G. and cleared up some things. He meant no harm by some of his comments. He loves his old teammates and coaches. He loves the fans and thanks them for putting food on his table and supporting him. I knew he had it in him to come clean and now he can move on with his ring. Good move by the Giants showing class and putting out a picture of the brass giving Pablo his ring. Good luck to Pablo...time to move on.

I heard his interview but I had difficulty making out what he was trying to say. I heard he didn't take the stuff back but I could be wrong about that

From MLB.com

"It probably came out the wrong side. I accept what I said, I agree with what I said," Sandoval said. "There's probably nothing wrong because if I tell every name that I miss, it's going to be long interviews. I just said those names because Bochy is like my dad. He always believed in me. And Hunter [Pence] is the greatest player I've played [with]. It's not about my teammates, it's not about the fans' support. Probably things come out the wrong side."

How does Sandoval feel about the Giants now?

"I feel great. They give me opportunity to be in professional baseball. They give me opportunity when I was 16 years old," Sandoval said. "They opened the door for me to be in the big leagues. They give me three rings. What am I going to be sad about?"

I have not seen this interview, but I know he was asked about his comments in the days following, and he stood behind them.

A single interview in the house upon which he shat is far from enough to forget.

Just let it go. He appreciated all of his teammates. It's not worth talking about it anymore. The Giants took the high road.

Same old MO for BoB.

Start a thread to declare the rainbow, then, when discussion occurs that varies even slightly from his decree, he exits in a huff.

I have heard this song before.

If all we did was talk rainbow all of the time, I would get bored really quickly.

All I am saying is I am cool with Pablo. He made his decision and good luck to him. You guys are free to talk as much as you want about it but what else is there to talk about. Have fun. Later.

Better their problem than ours.

Has he been hearing the boo-birds at Fenway yet?

Tweeted today at Disney:

"Pablo Sandoval grounded out in 2nd inn on a pitch that was 5.1 ft above the ground -- highest pitch put in play by any player in last 5 yrs."

Still that great plate discipline (pun intended)

I just watched that AB.

:L

Money aside, I would not trade Duffy for Sandoval one-up.

I love how he had to literally JUMP to make terrible contact with the ball.

And agree re Duffy. We'll see if Duffman ends up with the same postseason clutchness, and I doubt he could ever do what Pablo did in the 2012 WS (maybe though, he's young...), but who do you want all year on your team? Not even a question.

Looks like the first draft of the 2016 schedule has been released and SF and Boston have 4 games against each other next year.

How will Sandoval be received?

I hope he is wildly cheered in his first AB, than wildly booed for the rest of the series.

Pablo was VERY productive in both the '12 and '14 post seasons. Reggie Jackson-like, if I may.
Of course Duff did hit .500 in the WS last year. :)
