Nah, man... Does he play a cool, calm, collected dude? Cause if he does... i'm sure I've seen that character before.
nah, just a bum. A stoner. See the honey bear?
The most overrated actor is Daniel Day-Lewis. It's not because he is a bad actor. He is a quite good actor, maybe top ten in the world. His problem is that he gets ridiculous praise for every part, even when they are unspectacular. Look at Lincoln...he played a guy whose nobody has ever heard. He had an accent that didn't remotely resemble a Midwest accent. He acted like a bumbling fool for most of the movie. He gets one good monologue and it is suddenly a "legendary performance." He's had one truly legendary performance (There Will Be Blood), and even that was a shitty movie. Gangs of New York was good, but he outshone by Liam Neeson, much like Tommy Lee Jones stole the screen from him in Lincoln. When you are only in one movie every five years and you get outshone in 2/3 of them, you aren't the Best Actor of your generation. The best actor alive today is Michael Shannon, so DDL can't possibly live up to his reputation.
Depp could've starred in Barney the movie and he'd still be a badass, cuz of Fear and Loathing alone.
I thin Brad Pitt is great, and has been in/chose great movies, save for maybe 7 years in tibet, which was a snooze fest, Pitt has been in some great movies, and excelled in them as well.
