Kevin Costner? Over, under, or meh?

I think it's meh or under. People give Costner a lot of grief for Water World and The Postman. I like his movies.

Great actor, but he's been around a lot longer than these guys. Not over rated in the least, even in Bosom Buddies he was good..lol

Was just at my comments about range. I think Depp may show off the ability to rival him as he does more movies though.

Now that I think of it, you're right. Depp was in the first Nightmare on Elm Street, and 21 Jump Street(TV Series).
About the same time frame as Bosom Buddies, for Hanks.

Just counted. THey both have roughly 50 movies. Including their animated voice overs.

Fair point. I think they are fairly comparable now, but was going on my inaccurate belief that hanks had been around a couple years longer. Both are great actors.

Leonardo DiCaprio's first movie as Critters 3 (1991). So that is 22 years. 28 films

Johnny Depp's first movie was Nightmare on Elm Street (1984), so that is 29 years. 42 films

Tom Hanks's first movie was He Knows You're Alone (1980), so that is 33 years. 39 films

What's interesting, "Catch Me If You Can" was Tom Hank's 28th movie and was with DiCaprio. Amazing movie.

They all have bad movies, but Costner has had a lot of good ones, no doubt.

That role in Basketball Diaries by Leo was unreal man. Playing Jim Carroll heroin junky. Unreal role by a once again very young kid. I think he carried The Departed even with Jack, Sheen, Wahlberg, Baldwin, and Damon in it. Leo was epic there as well. He plays a great head case.

Now I do believe Pitt has talent but I do believe the face and all the love from the ladies has gotten more roles than I think he deserves. Not saying he's horrible... just a little overrated.
