12/6 recap

If you looked hard enough, yesterday had some big games. This is what happened:

North Carolina over Davidson 98-65
Baylor over Vanderbilt 69-67 (Not a bad game)
Florida State over VCU 76-71
Colorado over Colorado State 88-77
San Diego over San Diego State 53-48 (Whoopsie)

By the way, the MAAC conference slate is underway. The rest of the conferences are sure to follow suit...

I don't check out the list on KenPom that often. I happened to a few hours ago and noticed none out of the top 3 Oklahoma, Purdue and Virginia have a projected NBA first rounder atm..Interesting.

12/7 recap (AKA: What happened when we WEREN'T paying tribute to Pearl Harbor)

Oklahoma over Villanova 78-55
Sooners have beaten Villanova, Wisconsin, and Memphis. Currently #1 on KenPom.
(Okay, I'm not familiar with KenPom, but nobody can deny what Oklahoma's done already. Ditto for Michigan State, too.)

And... I guess that was it. Oklahoma gets the spotlight all to itself today!

The fact that this MSU team is #1 just shows how weak CBB has become.

But I've been saying CBB is weak for about a decade now.

There's no more 99 UConn/Dukes, or 2001 Duke.

The Fab 5 would have run train on this new era.

I should add that the B2B Florida teams are generally the exception and would be the overall cutoff point for when CBB started going to shit.

December 10th and 11th

Record highs are expected for the weekend here in the Northeast. Personally, I'm not thrilled about it, but I'll bet a lot of you are.
Anyway, here are the big games you should see over the next 2 days: (All times are Eastern)

Thursday:
UL-Monroe @ Kent State (7:00)
Game of the Day: Iowa @ Iowa State (7:30)

Friday's Big Game:
North Dakota State @ North Dakota (8:30)

:lame: Not a big slate of games. Oh well, Saturday should at least be good...

That team has maybe half the talent of the teams I mentioned above...and that's being generous.

relevance of opinion = relevance of program success, DEPT...

always a treat watching some bloviate pompoid walverine nut-swinger drooling "the field is down if MSU is up."
