Memphis was up eight at the half at Houston last night, but the Cougs came back to win by eight. We miss leading scorerer Rob Gray Jr., but Devontae Pollard and Damian Dotson were stellar. Really think Kelvin Sampson's squad is capable of making some noise down the stretch.

2/16 and 2/17 recap

Once again, Duke and North Carolina had a fun game... with a finish that I'm sure EVERYONE at ESPN are over-analyzing and over-hyping. Aside from that, here's what else happened:

Tuesday:
Texas over West Virginia 85-78
Baylor over Iowa State 100-91 in OT
Purdue over Northwestern 71-61
Missouri upsets South Carolina 72-67 (Finally, a REAL upset!)
Pittsburgh over Wake Forest 101-96 in 2-OT's
Ohio State over Michigan 76-66
Butler over Creighton 88-75
Youngstown State over Illinois-Chicago 92-91 in 2-OT's
Florida over Georgia 57-53
Texas A&M over Ole Miss 71-56

Wednesday:
Villanova over Temple 83-67
Texas Tech upsets Oklahoma 65-63
Xavier over Providence 85-74

Miami over Virginia Tech 65-49
Saint Joseph's over Dayton 79-70
Louisville over Syracuse 72-58
Albany over Stony Brook 82-70 (A possible "Whoopsie" loss for Stony Brook... if they don't recover)
La Salle upsets St. Bonaventure 71-64 (Whoopsie)
Alabama over LSU 76-69 (Wait... Are BOTH of these teams going to make the NCAA's?)
Seton Hall over Georgetown 72-64
USC over Colorado 79-72

And finally, Iowa holds off Penn State for it's...

My dark side: "No no no, dude. Iowa lost at Penn State."

Me: "...FUC-"

I heard on the radio that the top 25 were 27-23 for their two weekly games. I believe it was the week Oregon went to the Bay area and lost to Cal and Stanford.
