The only exaggerations are being done by you peeps and your propaganda engines.

what exactly are Texas fans exaggerating. DId any Texas fan say this was a huge loss? NO.. What propaganda is being spread? The fact that Patterson has an execellent reputation as a talent evaluator? Very few people will argue that fact, especially if you ask Big 12 coaches.

OR a local paper is covering a local kid on a local story. I was wondering how you would turn this OU story as a "Texas is the devil" story. I bet you have nightmares about Bevo and Ricky Williams

"BIG HIT" to OU

I bet you have nightmares about Bevo and Ricky Williams

Yes. The old Texas stand-by when getting their asses kicked in an intellectual debate supported by facts.

It's not a "BIG HIT" to OU.

Actually Nebraska and TCU are pretty equal now in terms of programs, except TCU has a recent Rose Bowl trophy.

Under Pelini, Nebraska in Big XII

2010 - (10-4)
2009 - (10-4)
2008 - (9-4)

Under Patterson, TCU in Big XII

2013 - (4-8)
2012 - (7-6)

# years as head coach at respective schools

Patterson - 14
Pelini - 6

Go on.....

Shocking a top 10 historic program that is 2 coaches removed from a 2 time NC has a better record than a mid-major in its first years in an AQ conference. Stop the presses!!!.

Defensive Rankings (S&P)
2011- TCU 38, Neb 27th
2012- TCU 18th, Neb 20th
2013- TCU 13th. NEb 55

3 year average: TCU 23 v 34 for NEb
5 yr average: 16.4 TCU v 23.4 NEb

Hmmm. Wonder whose opinion I would take on a Defensive player?

You guys have to stop feeding the troll.

Not ONE Texas fan has even mentioned OU's recruiting is taking a "big hit".......it's not in a single post in this thread.

He just kind of makes it up as he goes along. Don't even bother responding to him.

If Charlie (the creator of this thread) is a troll, he is a poor one at that.

LOL, i proved this troll wrong with Jason Verrett. Patterson might not win games in the big 12 yet, but he still develops talent.

TCU in a mid-major conference..

2011 - (11-2) (AP 14) (L (10-3) Baylor)(Did not play any other P5 teams)(W Bowl vs Louisiana Tech)
2010 - (13-0) (AP 2) (W (5-7) Oregon St.), (W (7-6) Baylor, (W bowl (11-2) Wisconsin)
2009 - (12-1) (AP 6) (W 3-9) Virginia), (W (9-5) Clemson), (L Bowl vs Boise St)
2008 - (11-2) (AP 7) (W (5-7) Stanford), (L (12-2) Oklahoma), (W Bowl vs Boise St)

TCU since joining the Big XII...

2013 - (4-8)
2012 - (7-6)

Let the propaganda machine roll.

my nephew is a TCU grad, and he hammered me about TCU was going to win the conference, that they win 11+ games a year, wont be any different in the big12, etc.

I told him, playing in a 'real' conference, where every week, no matter who you play, takes a toll, that it's completely different from playing the mtn.wac, or whatever conferences TCU had been playing in...He would not hear of it. Well, guess I was right, I told the youngster.

Oh. There's ONE from outside of the giant pool of players in the state of Texas. I'll add that he has yet to play a down in the NFL.

Can you find me another TCU player on an NFL roster that did not play football in the state of Texas?

I'll save you the trouble...NO.

Who said anything about having to be from Texas? I was just pointng out Patterson developing a low 3 star into an NFL 1st rounder. Keep deflecting though, and don't forget to somehow blame UT for something.

Tell everybody the whole story.

That Patterson did not offer Verrett out of high school in 2009. That Verrett spent 2 seasons at Santa Rosa Junior College before going to TCU in 2011.

Was everyone else cool on him because of grades, disciplinary reasons, or had he just not developed into D-1 talent yet?

When TCU picked him up....."Ranked by Rivals.com as the sixth-best junior college defensive back ... also listed 35th nationally for overall JC players ... a first-team all-conference selection in 2010 ... recorded five interceptions while returning two kickoffs for touchdowns."

Seems to me he was developed in JC. Not by Patterson.

Tell us more...

I'm not gonna lie, your arguments are dumb, but at least you try really hard. So now your arguement is "he learned all his skills in junior college, not at TCU". hahahaha

I am guessing guys like Tank, Hughes, and Schobel all learned from others. I get his hatred for TExas, but it is sad to see him try to tear apart a well respected coach just because he earned respect from Texas fans.

I'm just using available information on the very player you're touting as being 'developed' by Patterson. That is not the lowly ranked 2 star out of high school that Patterson didn't care enough about to recruit, is it?

Don't be mad.

Now you're pimping the Junior college recruiting circuit. Even after being developed to be an NFL DB by Santa Rosa, only UTEP, San Jose, some other school, and TCU offered. Your weak arguement holds no water, unless Patterson told all the big time schools to back off this future NFL 1st rounder and they all agreed.
