Horncastle states that Rodriguez sent off Marchisio wrongly as though it's an absolute fact, which I don't think it is. I'm sure some people disagree and it may have been borderline, but that was certainly a red-cardable offence.

And missing the bite isn't all that surprising, considering that it happened some 20 yards from the play and in a different direction. The referee shouldn't be expected to see this, IMO. If people want to go all conspiracy theory on it, they should argue that the linemen ignored it intentionally.
