What do you think the biggest issue has been for Canada the last couple years?. The individual talent is obviously there.

I think one of the main issues is that they (Hockey Canada) left several talented guys off the roster. Three top-10 picks from the last entry draft are not on this team. Also, you have to question why Dave Cameron is the head coach of this team, it's not like he has a great resume to start with and part of being a good coach is making in-game adjustments and I just see a guy not recognizing which lines have chemistry and giving them more ice team at the expense of other lines that are struggling.

Also, where is the accountability when somebody takes a dumb penalty, staple said player to the bench to send a message to the entire team.

100% this. Team Canada has smartest man in room syndrome in recent years. Stop collectively Zamunering the team with "role" players. Pick 98% the most talented guys and maybe add in a PK specialist. That's it. Shit ain't hard. There is no way that BOTH Parekh and Yakemchuk should be watching this tournament from home. Same goes for Tij Iginla and Beckett Sennecke.

Then find a coach who can get the most out of those players. SPOILER ALERT: As a Sens fan I know that guy is not Dave Cameron.

I believe Tij underwent hip surgery and is still recovering so he wasn't available, but I agree with everything else above Kenny. Maybe Canada rallies and finds a way to defeat Czechia, but they are in tough.

Didn't know about Tij. Point still stands though. And that is not to dump on any of the specific kids they ended up picking. They're playing hard; they just aren't being put into the best position to succeed, IMO.

Hopefully they get it together and pull this out but Hockey Canada needs to really start thinking about systemic changes (not just personnel).

I think the IIHF has a different standard when it comes to calling those knee-on-knee hits even if there is significant body contact.
