I would argue that Peter Dinklage would be the main actor, but I'm not sure how those things are judged.

yeah I have no idea really. does it go top billing in the opening credits? It really depends on the time of the story.

On a show with this big of a cast I don't think you can call anyone the main character.

Just looked at who he is going up against, and it would be a travesty if he didn't win. Never watched Downtown Abbey so I can't comment on those, and I like the AMC shows but I wouldn't give any of them the nod over Dinklage.

not yet. Im waiting for the show to end then will pick up the books. had I discovered the books first I would be all over them but can't change the order now

I just finished season 2, I have avoided this thread for months. I'll skim more of it tomorrow. From the last page, I do not see this show having a leading character. Even the big ones seem to come and go as the story progresses.

I'd actually argue that anyone who has a point of view chapter is considered a leading role. For the most part.
