I like The Bay but it is just so big and bloated. You never see anyone in there. Not sure there's any saving it at this point.
every Bay I have gone into in the last couple years have massive empty areas. they need to downsize physically and restructure.

We’ve never had a Bay here. We did have a small Eatons store that accepted deliveries and orders and such. But we did have a Woodward’s. That was a great store. It had everything including a food floor with a real bakery, and a cafeteria. It’s where I bought my golf clubs first time around, furniture, electronics, a bank, etc.

another Bay in the lower mainland closed temporarily for HVAC issues.

this company will be closed in 3 months.
Played hockey at Britannia last night, and the ice never did dry.
We waited 15 minutes for it to cool, never did. Ended up playing in slush.

It's a cooling centre, so maybe they left the doors open for too long.
Or the compressor is shot again and my summer hockey is over.

heard them talking about this on the radio this morn ... "slowly erected" in an understatement. It has been standing for almost 2 years now and they just "unveiled" it yesterday ??? I thought that was already done

I know it was cordoned off so people couldnt walk up the steps ... maybe the unveiling was the steps are open for people to walk up them now ... and for the ensuing lawsuits when people fall all the way down lol

I'm against every "art installation" at this point. They're all terrible.

The most memorable things any Canadian city has installed in the past decade are signs with the city name and they cost like a fraction of what shit like this costs.

Fix the damn roads.

Went to McDonalds this morning to grab a Mcmuffin and a hash brown and the screen asks me if I want a bag because "by law we must charge $0.25 for a bag".

I guess i'm supposed to bring reusable bags to fast food restaurants now?

How did it go from "reduce plastic" to "all bags are bad"?

i dont think its a law anymore. I thought they did away with that (or was the coffee cup charge?)

its all stupid. I ran out of time for lunch yesterday and choose McDonalds for a quick bite. they put me in the drive thru wait spot and since I said no bag brought it out on a tray ....... in a bag so they dont really follow that rule... (I didnt get charged)

It came in last week. All the reusable bags now have to cost a minimum $2 and the paper bags .25. I just thought it was limited to like grocery stores etc.

Anyway, can't imagine any reason why the NDP keeps slipping in the polls.
