embarrassing for Vancouver ... sure there are the english bay sandy beaches (which probably have high ecoli readings) but only 2 outdoor pools?

They make mention of the small one that was closed in Hastings Sunrise way back when. Every time I drive by Hastings and Renfrew I think of us neighbourhood kids breaking into that pool overnight to go for a swim ... also remember the drunken hot girl who dropped trou to take a leak at a nearby tree before a Motley Crue concert sometime in the late 80's

Outdoor neighborhood pools in area parks is what I grew up with. No lifeguards but there were summer student councillors.
