I’m sure this is going to shut down the underground weddings.

This motherfucker being real? “The rest of us”? Fuck you, point some fingers at the 40 and 50 year olds I keep seeing inside banks and malls without masks.

If young people weren’t so often the ones working “essential” jobs that can’t be done from home maybe they wouldn’t be the ones making up many of the cases.

Hey, here’s a fun idea: since the vast majority of young people recover from this virus and live normal lives how about everybody 50+ stay home and isolate and the rest of the world can keep the economy going until you old folks are vaccinated? Think people of that age can be counted on to not “blow it”??

I am wondering now if funerals will be cut back by the 10 people currently allowed inside buildings (and 50 outside in open areas), they didnt mention anything about it. We take covid contact lists and provide them to the church and have only once been called for a potential result that turned out to be negative.

that is not known yet.

As the father of a 16 year old, it scares the shit out of me that there is seemingly no plan to vaccinate under 18 years old, when most other jurisdictions are doing 16+.
They have treated kids as immune since this began because the severe case rate is lower.

there have been permanent (so far) impacts to heart, lungs, kidneys and brain functions in cases of all ages.

mainly ranting because I have had dinner with my family only for a year now (other than met one set of friends in their back yard last fall),
and when we do go out for dinners, it's not "old people" sitting at a table of 6, it's always teens and 20-somethings.
my family is lovely, but holy fuck do i just want to go out and have a beer or three.

i haven't been to a mall in a year, so wouldn't know about that.

though if this was what you were referring to specifically, then yeah. :L

Yeah it was.

There could be long-term effects, and I’m not really advocating for this. Just think it’s pretty shitty for a leader to pin everything on one age group, especially considering the gymnastics these people did in the fall to avoid directly saying “the south Asian community should maybe stop having underground weddings”. At the very least, the amount of young people being lackadaisical can’t outnumber the number of anti-mask marchers by all that much.

We decided to eat out at restaurants once a month just to do something somewhat normal and seen a healthy mix of ages but that hasnt been in the city so may be a bit different there. I’ve only gone to malls because i basically came here with one suitcase of clothes and I just can’t really shop online for clothes. But yeah, definitely seen a few there.

And RBC. Jesus Christ they really don’t care there. Seems like no matter which branch I go to someone’s either in line for the teller or at the atm maskless.

We still havent eaten dinner out. I was at metrotown getting a haircut saturday. It was packed. I saw one person not wearing a mask and it was because she was walking and eating a sloppy burger with the mask acting as a chin bib.

Last Wednesday night i was grocery shopping for my parents at the north van superstore. I like going there because i always see old white people completely lose their shit there. Again everyone masked but saw an exchange at the other end of the checkout lanes. An older lady was yelling as she was leaving and ripped off her mask and threw it to the ground as she exited. I couldnt make out what she was saying :noidea:

As i made my way through the parking lot after i checked out i saw her again in a handicapped spot (no decal) finishing up loading her back seat with the groceries. She left her cart up against the concrete bollard/light post support and i noticed she left a bag of bagels on the ledge of the bollard. She was in her car at that point about to back up when I passed by her drivers side window. I waved at her and pointed at the bagels to let her know she left them there and she immediately gave me the finger lol

I have two dumb fuck nephews who took their girlfriends to Tofino last weekend. Even though Tofino has pleaded with folks to not go there, and even though Dr Bonnie says stay home.

One lives in Vancouver, the other lives in Victoria. And they met up with the Vancouver nephew's sister (who is dumber than compost).

So 2 from Vancouver, plus their "friends" and my nephew from Victoria and his "friend" all went to a place that told them to stay away.

No rules for them. One of them tried to get into my Dad's facility to see him too and got turned away but got pissy about it.

Jesus christ. I've been a huge thinker of " The Childern are the future". If they keep acting like the way their acting. I'm not sure...

With this being said. I'm shocked he has pinned it on "an exact group".

I have been out and about. Christmas shopping in malls, walking to tim Hortons etc, always masked indoors but not walking, and I can't recall seeing any youth without a mask.
