My wife was a couple of hours late earlier this morning giving me my pain medicine because of the baby. I have never been in so much pain before in my life.

Things are still a bit rough, but once I take my codeine, everything gets numb, and I start to go to my happy place.

Things are just kind of a blur right now, and I feel like I'm in a Casino. I often have no idea of the time of day and I get all confused.

Hang in there buddy, were with you IPW. Lets hope you see some improvement every day. I learned that you must keep on schedule as prescribed or it will get to you.

If I didn't have a sense of humor, I probably would of killed myself by now. I was making the nurses laugh as well, well...when they could understand what I was saying.

When I talk, I sound like a drunk guy at 4am. All these rubber bands are starting to piss me off. My dinner was just a protein shake.

So so, They are having trouble stabilizing my blood thinning level. I had a couple of hemorrhages under the skin and my left arm looks TERRIBLE it's purple from my armpit to my wrist, i'm just hoping they figure it out soon. It may take a stay in the hospital because my doc said in the 10 years she has checked INR levels she has never seen one fluctuate as much as mine. She said this may mean there's another problem. As they told me in the hospital in S. C. it could indicate a "hidden cancer", not something anyone want's to hear.

If the level is too low it doesn't help the clots in the lungs and if it's too high it's easy to have severe bleeding problems. I have people that call me often to make sure i'm Okay because if the level is elevated and I fall or hit my head like the doc said I could bleed to death with little symptom's. I enjoy talking on the phone because it keep's my mind off of thing's

It's nerve racking and raises the anxiety level's but she did give me something to help me sleep at today's visit.

Can I ask why you had that procedure done, IPW? I work for a head and neck surgeon and that sounds a lot more extreme than most of the surgeries he's done. I've been doing his billing for 8 years so I have a pretty good grasp on all the different kinds of surgeries that can be done in that area but I can't for the life of me figure out what your diagnosis would have been.

You don't have to tell me if you don't want to, just professional curiosity!

I had the surgery done because of a series of health problems that I was dealing with on a daily basis. I had a pertty serious overbite nad underbite. The surgeon said it was one of the most severe that he's seen in 35 years. My jaw was never at reast, So i always would have headaches, some days worse than others.

I only had 2 teeth that touched, so chewin food properly was a big challenge. I would swallow food in bigger pieces and take in a lot of air. That caused me to not get the proper nutrition from what I ate, and my stomache had to produce more acid to break down the food. THat would lead to a lot of problems with gas and things like that.

My teeth were also crooked and bending the wrong way to try and compensate. I had to have the braces on for about a year before they could do the surgery. ANd with a few other minor things that I know I am forgetting right now, that is why I had this surgery done.
