Thank you to everyone for all your well wishes and jokes. Well, except for the two dudes kissing, that was just gay.

My surgery went really well, and lasted just over 4 hours. I am really swollen right now and in a lot of pain. I have to take 4 types of medicine plus a couple of rinses.

How has everyone else been, what about Boss?

I don't think I ever said what type of surgery I was going in for?

It was for my top and bottom jaw. They removed the lower jaw, cut some of it off, and moved it backwards. The top jaw was was cut almost completely off, then they sliced it in half down the middle, added a synthetic bone material to fill the gap because it was too narrow. Then they moved it forward and also had to fix my nasal cavities as well.

The first time I went to the bathroom and looked in the mirror, I cried. It's a lot to take in, and I'm still in a state of shock right now. The pain is a lot worse than I ever thought it was going to be and I have to eat and drink everything through a syringe in the mouth.

Ok, I am really groggy and tired right now, so I'm going to try and get a bit more sleep before my wife wakes me up for more medicine.

I hope to post again tomorrow for a bit.

Once again thank you for your kind words, it does mean a lot to me.

No problem buddy. That's quite an ordeal you're going through. Sorry to hear you're in so much pain, hope it doesn't last too long. Don't worry, you'll be back to eating hay in no time :D Get well soon. I'll try to bump the thread where Boss said how he's doing.

We'll save these jokes for a later date

IPW, that sounds unimaginable........seriously, I wish you the best of luck in recovering, and hopefully this surgery turns out to be a very positive thing for you. Rep to you for good luck
