Alas, not meant to be. Audi said they would enter F1 when the engine spec became 4 cylinder turbo hybrids.

Ferrari said "absolutely not". Because, let's face it, Ferrari wants no part of competing with Audi. Every time Audi has entered a series against Ferrari, they have kicked their ass.

There's also a rumour that VW wants to enter NASCAR. Just for fun.
