Too true Dash. It's just too easy for parents (and schools) to give kids crap to eat these days. Nobody seems to walk anywhere any more either. I had a "friend" of mine refuse to walk 700 m with her child because it was "too tough with the kid and all" :L

It's not quite where it needs to be in terms of tolerance and acceptance, but Pope Francis is at least moving things in the right direction. He seems to be getting received well, so perhaps we'll see more progress in the church with future popes as folks start to get more comfortable with a more liberal church.

60 minutes ran the March 2013 story on the "inquisition" of American Nuns for espousing "radical feminism" again last night ...maybe Pope Frankie caught that on his flight from Rio and is having a change of heart

will be interesting if there will be true change
