Good win for Raonic, Murray's going to be tough to get past.
Are those in Aussie bucks? If so, good for Milos, sucks for everybody else.Tonight's match between Murray and Raonic is not only for a place in the final, but literally $1 million is on the line. Prize money breaks down as follows:
Champion 3.8 million
Runner-up 1.9 million
Semifinalists 0.9 million
73 unforced errors?Well, I might as well jump in the shower and go into work now that I've stayed up all night watching Milos lose to Murray in five grueling sets.
73 unforced errors?
Milos being Milos.
He played great until suffering a leg injury in set #4.
Common theme for Milos. Always harder for taller players but slams are a test in fitness and physicality and he doesn't seem to have either on his side.He played great until suffering a leg injury in set #4.
You think he'd know better than to get the nut in 9 months before a slam.is that right ... Murray may not play the final if his wife goes into labour ?

I'm not forgetting, though - like I said, slams are a test in fitness and physicality. He played 1 more set than Murray prior to this matchup so I'm not feeling much sympathy there.I would argue he's making great strides in both these departments. Lest we forget, he had a tough five-setter against Wawrinka and a physical match against Monfils as well prior to this biggest test against Murray.

The best get over that. If you're going to throw out the 5 setters he played in you can't discount the number of sets immediately after lol.He also faced much stiffer competition than Murray did, though. You just can't look at the number of sets each guy has played, as physically draining as this tournament, it's mentally draining as well.
Who's the top 3? Djok Murray and Fed? What about Stan?I think Milos made the case that he is the undisputed #4 guy now so thats something ... I only got to watch his match against Wawrinka and you could see hes made progress ... hopefully Moya can get him over the top of that hill and he keeps wearing that mouthguard lol

Anyway, I agree with the "best of the rest" sentiment (and that's no doubt impressive) but I'm not as hopeful about him getting over that hill.
sure Stans in the mix ... lets go top 5 then
just think from what i saw and the change in Milos game ... all that movement and with how good he looked going to the net (which is new for him) .. he can only improve ... he seemed like a different guy to me![]()
Don't think anyone's dumped on his game, just his fitness and physicality. He's bigger and more prone to wearing out like he did today. That's kind of a big deal in 2 week long 5-set tournaments.Agreed. He's lost one match in 2 tournaments this year, with one championship and a 5 set loss in the semis of the grand slam. He's made some pretty obvious improvements since last year.
And somehow people are dumping on his game?
Maybe Milos should have tanked so he could come back next year with a better seeding or a new racket or some magic beans.
I mean, he could have gotten some sweet cash from that Russian dude who hangs out beside the players' entrance too!!
