She broke Radwanska to go up 4-2 in the first set, played a loose service game and was broken right back, and then proceeded to lose 9 of the next 11 games. To be fair, Genie played okay, but too much high risk tennis, she doesn't have to paint the lines with her ground strokes, if she dials that back some, the unforced errors will come way down.

/She still needs to fix her first serve though.
She now has 4 months to work on it.

Tsonga shows that chivalry is not dead.

Of course not. He's French!! Always chivalrous.

Somewhere in that exchange he also gave her a baguette, some cheese, a nice Bordeaux, a surrender treaty signed by the French government, a bottle of erotic massage oil and his spare hotel room key.

To bad Genie got eliminated. Still she was playing a top 4 seed. Hopefully over the next few months she'll get her game together more and do well at the French Open.

Still a big fan of Pospisil.

Bouchard surprised some people for about a year with her taking the ball crazy early, but that's it. Movement and serve are just not plus level. If she can improve those a lot, she could definitely be a top 10 player again.

Wow, your eyes are better than mine.

It wasn't pretty, but Milos advances in straight sets and will play Troicki in round 3.

I agree, seems like a good Canadian kid. Plays later tonight vs. the #4 seed Stan Warwinka.

That was incredible. Dash, I was wondering if you'd stay up, but I guess it's not quite as late in Calgary.

Milos played perfectly the first three sets, up until he let that volley go at 5-5. You don't take a chance on that ball going long, you put it away. And it rattled him. But credit to the kid, he mentally recovered and played a strong 5th.

The tennis he played in the first two sets can win a major, if he finds his consistency. And although I would have preferred to see him win in straight sets, you have to think that this experience will make him stronger, knowing that blowing a 2-0 lead doesn't guarantee a loss.

I know he's beaten Feds in a few finals, but this is his biggest win for sure. Can't wait for the next one.
