even with the hold not sure i would call that at that point in the game. it was a piss poor play call, a terrible throw, it would have been an absolute bail out call and the ravens would have just as much a right to complain if not more. why not try to run it with a misdirection, read option, whatever. terrible play calling and did not deserve the bailout.

that said, baltimore did everything they could to try to lose the game after crushing it early.

I hate that excuse though. I know people like to say "players win the game, not refs", but all that means is you can get away with anything if the game is on the line. The rules state that you cannot prevent the receiver from getting to the ball...annnnd he did. I 100% agree that the play calling was asinine, but a foul is a foul, and is only highlighted more in the situation that played out.

I think the '05 Steelers and this team have a lot in common. Neither team was really that great, but won when it mattered. I don't think either team was the best in the NFL in their respective season.

I didn't care who won, but man were the announcers slurping on Kaepernick throughout the game.

Even in discussing his INT they were pretty slurptastic. I didn't watch enough to know how bad the Lewis-love was. That said, Kaep will (I think) be a pretty impressive guy for a few years.

Thanks Eloco!

Wow. And whew. The way the Ravens finished the regular season I expected 1 and done in the playoffs. You just never know. I'd post a picture of beer and pizza but I have been drinking and I am posting on my Kindle so doing that might take me a few hours.

I hate Doc forever for that one line alone.

I mean, I was stoked as hell when we won that game, and you know - you KNOW - he had something written for if the Flyers win the series, and you go with "A comeback of epic proportions comes complete?" That's just bad alliteration for the sake of alliteration. It's literally the EXACT SAME SYLLABLE REPEATED. The Flyers complete the comeback is fine. Comes complete makes it sound like it should be coming with something e.g. the big mac meal comes complete with a medium fry and soda, or this win comes complete with shitty announcing.

My view on the defensive holding. It probably was a little. I also thought Crabtree pushed off his helmet a little. I didn't want to see the refs give the 49ers four new downs on somethin that minor though. If anything, call offsetting and give them one shot. I am not sure if the ball was catchable. Does that matter in defensive holding or just PI?

Fun game to watch. Other than Ray Ray who annoys the hell out of me, I am happy for the rest of the Ravens.

Tyrod got a ring! W00T!

I think our livers may have to do a class action lawsuit

I think the Ravens owe John Fox a bouquet of flowers for this.

Without his inept coaching, Baltimore probably doesn't even make it out of Denver.

You fail, it was Joe Beninati.

I thought it was an awesome line. It just sounds better than "The Flyers comeback!"

Now I'm hungry, asshole. :)
