I was there for the first 7 rounds then left for a while. When I came back I was filling bench spots but still only had one goalie. Weird system.

It looks like it drafts strictly according to your rankings and ignores needs, and we tended to draft goalies a bit earlier than the default projections were, so that's probably why.

You have Ovechkin, and some years that's half the battle won right there. I don't like your goalies TOO much but you have 4, so you'll probably be fine.

Also, don't really pay too much attention to what I say, this was only my second draft too.

yeah, i picked 12th, and there were no 'franchise' forwards left, so I started a goalie run with my back-to-backs :D

Nate - having two back-up goalies is a bit of a waste.
if you know the Kings tandem, and are comfortable knowing who is starting when, that's fine.
I don't know how much bobrovski will play since they spent all that dough on a #1.

pretty strong D. regher will be a d-specialist, so maybe try to find someone who is higher up on the powerplay depth chart. Not sure if meszeros is on the Philly PP either. that's the key for d-men, is look for powerplay points, or that they eat up a huge amount of ice time (on a decent team).

Okay, Question for everyone. Last season I had IR spots on the rosters, spots where you could put someone injured until they got healthy like a DL spot. I forgot to add them this season. Would anyone be upset if I added them now, after the draft?

:L I just dropped Mason Raymond
had drafted him in the last round assuming there were IR spots.

no biggie either way, but yeah i would appreciate having them back.

So its all your fault my top goalie is Niemi....It's okay, got Rask for when the reverse of last season happens in Boston.

as mentioned earlier, I am willing to trade some starting goalies, but they wont be cheap :D

yeah okay, I should check that I can do it before I ask if we want to do it. Sorry guys.

I could do it, but it'd involve resetting the draft...

Well I actually could do it, but it'd involve way too much work including writing everyones roster down and then adding their whole roster back to their team....

don't worry about it. roster of 25 aught to be deep enough for anyone.
just a reminder for next year.

No worries. Heck I've already dropped Shawn Horcoff.:D: Still don't know how I hit the wrong button. I was all set to take Tyler Myers, then POOF. Nice snag on Kipper. I thought I had him too.

First time for me too. We have a lot of players in common. It will be interesting to see how our teams do with similar cores.
