You can't be sure of any of this. It is all speculation, but you cannot compare those trades at all, just look at the numbers....ha ha...

Multiple reports last night said the Rams would receive additional compensation. 1 player does not make a team.
The trade is official:
Vikings/Cowboys trade:
5 current players, 3 first round picks, 3 second round picks, 1 third round pick, 1 sixth round pick for an aging running back
Redskins/Rams trade
3 first round picks, 1 second round pick for a higher first round pick.
They are not even close to comparable....
Maybe not in terms of numbers, but mark my words this trade will set the Rams up for a long time. It's a deal Redskiins fans will look back on as a franchise killer. Times have changed. Giving up 1st round picks in the NFL always comes back to bite the team that does it. The Redskins don't have enough talent on their roster to overcome the loss of those picks. Snyder has been signing the wrong UFA's since he's owned the team. Do you actually trust him to make the right decisions going forward? I sure as hell wouldn't if I was a Redskins fan.
1. The rookie salary structure will protect th Redskins in paying for him. He will make 20 million over four years, not 50 million. If he is a bust, it does not kill us long term.
Before I read the rest of this, ummm what?!?!?
How does giving that many draft picks NOT kill you long term especially if he is a bust?
Now I will read rest of post.
3 picks do not make a franchise....
First round picks in the NFL are VERRRY valuable. They are nothing to just give away, which the skins just did IMO.
Yes, they have money to spend, but so do other teams. Never any guarantees there. Just as risky as the draft.
In my opinion proven commodities (free agents, Orakpo, Kerrigan) are more valuable than picks that could be anywhere from 1 to 32.....
Yea but there is no guarantee you get that top free agent on the market. All I am saying is this was a huge risk that I highly doubt will pay off, but we shall see.

Not for the Redskins. Probably from anywhere from 7-22 in the next 2 years

Marc-Andre Fleury
Evgeni Malkin
Sidney Crosby
On the other side of the coin:
Alexandre Picard
Gilbert Brule
Nikolai Zherdev
It's three. Look at the draft as if the first two picks are already made - Luck and then RG3. The Rams trade away RG3 and get a pick this year, a pick next year, and a pick the year afterwards (not to mention the second rounder this year). Just because the first two picks are similar doesn't make it better for the Skins - in fact it makes it worse.
I kind of agree with this...they didn't HAVE to get a 1st back for this year. Regardless, it's overpayment to move down 4 freaking spots. I'm fairly convinced I could run an NFL franchise at this point.
so I guess we threw in a clementine as well.
