Traded three firsts (this year and next two) and a second (this year) to St. Louis for the no. 2 overall pick.

This is a make or break trade.

Yikes. I mean let's see how this plays out but at first glance holy shit Snyder really is the worst owner in football.

Woah...that's...woah. I love RG3, however giving up THREE FIRST ROUNDERS is absolutely insane. PROPS to St. Louis, that's a fantastic franchise altering trade...especially seeing as the Skins are still a mid round pick THIS year.

Pix, they are the #6 pick this year...

*spits out...uhh...air because I'm not drinking water* Hah...hahaha...HAHAHHAHAHAHAHAHAHHAHAHAAHHA. Apologies to any Skins fans. That said, this could be a good pick up, but it's not like St. Louis was going to pick him anyway.

Yeah...I guess I just view it as a player for picks trade. The insane thing is that in the NFL draft picks are valued a LOT higher than in the NHL. NFL picks work out MUCH more often. There's also fewer rounds. I really like RG3, but vast overpayment my Lord.

So the Rams could still get the play making receiver they need, they have a new coach that knows what he is doing, and they have 2 extra first rounders and a 2nd rounder to mess around with (maybe they trade those, maybe they use them). Could this be the Herschel Walker trade 2.0?

It's alot I agree. The SKins badly needed a QB. Brunell, Campbell, Grossman is enough to make you do this deal.

The SKins wont be in this position to trade up this close again. The time was now. They also still have 5 picks and 41 million to spend

In other NFL news:
Including escalation, Sanchez could make $68.25M over the next 5 total years left on his deal.

BAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA. "This could make Sanchez the 6-7th highest paid QB"

**Also, the Skins still intend to talk to Manning.

Mid round?

THEY ARE SIXTH.

The Rams acquired two firsts and a second in exchange for moving down FOUR DRAFT SPOTS.

Unless by this year you mean this coming football season, in which case, maybe, but I wouldn't put it past Washington to fall apart. I could see St. Louis getting two more top ten picks out of this. In exchange for dropping from their number one choice to dropping to, at worst, their number four. They made a killing, because football is ALL about your first rounders. It's true, they bust a lot, but on average, they are far better than anyone drafted second or later.

Nah, irresponsible lack of research on my part...not sure why I thought they were decent this year.

Because the Redskins are one of those perennial "Oh, they'll be good next year" teams. Every year, it starts off with people buying in and picking them to win the division, and every year, as they end the season with more losses than touchdowns, I wonder why.

I never have much faith in them because their division is sort of rough...though I'd say most teams in their division tend to be regular season underachievers. And postseason underachievers if they aren't named "Giants".
