That's a fantastic idea. Since Mars appears to be a "dead" planet, its geology may be the most interesting part.

someone mad lol nice response to the clown above

I calculated how much money you give to NASA per year based on several incomes.

Income --> Money you gave to NASA
$20,000 --> $12.36
$30,000 --> $19.56
$40,000 --> $29.40
$50,000 -->$41.40
$60,000 --> $53.40
$70,000 --> $65.40
$80,000 --> $77.40
$90,000 --> $90.32
$100,000 --> $103.76
$500,000 --> $731.11
$1,000,000 --> $1571.11
$5,000,000 --> $8291.11

And there you have it.

@SarcasticRover: If the nerds at NASA don't call out "Engage!" every time they upload driving commands to me, then I have lost all faith in science.

For the next week I'm just standing still, checking stuff out and flexing my arm… pretty much a douche-bag at a bar I guess.

how come there are no tracks from the rover anywhere around curiosity in the 360 video?

If I remember correctly, the rover landed, raised its arm, and took a series of panorama images before doing any moving, according to the plan. Once it starts moving across the Mars landscape, you'll see tire tracks in the pictures.

Ah ok I thought that was new video.

How come it's so fast to receive imagery from mars?

Also transmitted at light speed are radio and cell phone signals, GPS signals, and pretty much any other wireless information transfer. Because all that information is carried by electromagnetic radiation. :nerd:

Information is transmitted at light speed.

data takes 7 minutes to transmit back to earth.
that's why there was a 7 minute 'dark window' when NASA didn't know if the landing was successful.

I won't be impressed until I see someone walk around Mercury, shirtless.
