Early on in the thread I had a list of cars who's drivers were usually fucking awful.
need to update to add Tesla towards the top.
for a group of people who are supposed to have increased consciousness, they can be the most oblivious motherfuckers out there.
driving 48 in the fast lane beside someone who is doing 48.5.
stopping in the middle of the road to figure out if they want to turn left or right.
no concept of mirror or turn signal
Probably more a function of just how many teslas there are in these parts, no? Most per capita in north america (if that isnt an old stat anymore)Early on in the thread I had a list of cars who's drivers were usually fucking awful.

Hasn't it been established that covid doesn't really transmit by contact (there's a scientific word here for it but I've forgotten it)?Using COVID as an excuse to provide shitty service. Early on, most stores had their bathrooms closed. Oh, in a global pandemic, you have closed the one place I can wash my hands? Brilliant.
Most grocery stores will still not let me bring my own bags, forcing me to indirectly murder turtles and birds. The reason? Because they don't want to risk their employees' health by making them touch my bags. But they are just fine with them touching every single item I have just breathed all over in my cart and put on their belt. and one exceptionally stupid store around here also decided that the best way to enforce social distancing was to put the card payment machine at the beginning of the belt. So once all your stuff has gone through, you have to go all the way back to the beginning of the belt, where someone else has been standing (and now has to move back towards the third person in line) and stand there, breathing on THEIR groceries to pay. That grocery store is also one of those that makes you have a club card to get the prices every other store has. So you have to scan your card every transaction. The scanner is behind the plexiglass, so I have to hand over my keys every time to the cashier, but at least they don't have to touch my grubby reusable grocery bags.
A lot of places, including doctor's offices, have cut back their hours "due to COVID". Service industry places like hair salons and auto mechanics. Mrs 43 has been trying for 2 weeks to get a haircut. She is in school every day from 7 to 5. All the places to get a hair cut are open from 10-4. I can see why you might want less open hours in order to keep your place clean, but why wouldn't you be open at times when your customers AREN'T working?
My daughter's doctor's office doesn't want people who have coughs or sniffles to come in. THE DOCTOR'S OFFICE
I have fish. My pleco from my freshwater tank passed on so I went to the pet store to get another and couldn't find one. I went to several stores and eventually asked why they didn't have any of what is one of the most common fish and essential to control algae in a tank. "They are in short supply because of COVID". Oh really? How exactly does a global pandemic affect the breeding and shipping OF A FISH? AND ONLY THAT SPECIFIC FISH? If I wanted gouramis or angel fish or bala sharks they have billions. Only plecos are affected, somehow.

see this wouldn't be a problem if there were more coyotes in Walmart.i was at a local Walmart 2 months ago and they had cordoned off the entire dry goods aisles. I thought oh … corona related somehow ??? A couples days later i read in my local community paper that that store had a rat infestation!!!
WE’RE BACK BABY !!!
Theres cougars in the swimwear aislesee this wouldn't be a problem if there were more coyotes in Walmart.
The bulk of my shopping is at Aldi which doesn't have bags at all, but I do still have to go to a regular store for some things Aldi doesn't have or brands we won't tolerate the Aldi equivalents. The other main store I go to will let you use your bags at the self checkouts (limit 12 items) or if you sign up for their scan as you go service which they charge for.different experience up here. grocers seems to have done complete 180s. Would have been nice if they kept some aspects of hygenic cleaning. (Related … i just read that translink (public transit authority here) have gone from deep cleaning buses every 2 days to every 2 months lmao)
We grocery shop at 4 different places and they all went to plastic bags when covid started but now have gone back in the past couple months or so to bring your own bag or buy bags(paper or cloth reusable) Safeway kills me everytime because they have gone to paper bags that they charge you for … AND THEY DONT HAVE HANDLES!!!!
Theyve also stopped publically sanitizing carts / baskets. Sanitizing bottles and wipes are there for whoever wants to do it themselves.
