NCDOT decided they needed to replace a small bridge no one of the central pieces of my commute. It was supposed to take approximately 3 months, from mid-June to mid-September. They just announced that it's a month behind schedule.

How do you get a month behind schedule on only a 3 month project?!?!?

Back in school, my detention supervisor always told me "hard work may pay off in the long run, but laziness always pays off now".

I suppose I am just glad he didn't also try to state that mining coal and oil from the earth has no impact.

Twice today the same bus almost ran me off the road. I had to slam on my breaks to avoid an accident each time. The first time, we were both at a red light, and the light changed, and the bus immediately started moving into the bike lane while I was next to it. I got pushed to the sidewalk trying to stay out of its way. The second time, it actually passed me, then slowed down and moved into the bike lane right in front of me.

If I can't trust bus drivers, people who drive professionally and deal with cyclists all day every day, how can I possibly feel safe on my bike?

1) Get a job at THE Ohio State University
2) Move to a small 'burb named "Worthington"
3) Ride the Olentangy river trail to work, where the worst you will have to encounter is an old person walking a dog and the best is young women in spandex, jogging.

TSN rolled out a new look to their website this morning - I can't say I'm a fan.

NEW YORK, N.Y. - Iraq's prime minister said Thursday his country's intelligence operation has uncovered a plot for an imminent attack on subway systems in United States and Paris.

Prime Minister Haider al-Abadi said he was told of the plot by Baghdad, and that it was the work of foreign fighters of the Islamic State group in Iraq. Asked if the attacks were imminent, he said, "Yes."

Asked if the attacks had been thwarted, he said, "No." Al-Abadi said the United States had been alerted.

He made the remarks at a meeting with journalists on the sidelines of a gathering of world leaders at the United Nations General Assembly.

In addition to the brutality Islamic State has visited on the people of Iraq and Syria, western leaders have voiced concern that the group would turn its terror operations outside the region.

A U.S.-led coalition opened airstrikes inside Syria on Monday, expanding weeks of attacks by the United States on Islamic Sstate targets in Iraq.

Also, when I'm sitting in my office, quite visibly, and an athlete walks in, sits on the treatment table just waiting. If you need something...ask. I don't bite. Just come get me.
