By the way, I came across more shit music on my youtube travels that I will refrain from posting. Man, there's a lot of bad music out there lol
I get it, I have a few Apple Music playlists I listen to while working.

I was so busy today that the one playlist went through every available song on it, so instead of just starting over Apple Music has the infinite wisdom to just start playing random songs for you.

Well, let's just say I couldn't get to the button fast enough to stop hearing the opening of pour some sugar on me by Def Leppard

High and Dry and Pyromania were great. They should have just stopped at that point.

Exactly right, kind of the same as Bryan Adams, he should have stopped after the album Reckless, he started doing way too many ballads and while I'm sure he made a ton of money, it was not good music.

I was OK with about half of Hysteria, at least then. Not sure I could listen to it now. Pour Some Sugar On Me and Love Bites are awful awful songs that at least someone should have done hard time for.

Hey, but are you gettin' it? (Armageddon it)
A-really gettin' it? (Yes, armageddon it)

I'm not quite sure how this didn't win the Pulitzer Prize for music composition

Don Kirshner was born on this day in 1934 - Anybody else remember watching Don Kirshner's Rock Concert?

Not me, the only reason I know of it is because Paul Shaffer used to do an impersonation of him.

The final fan vote for the rock 'n' roll Hall of Fame class of 2025.

IMG_5997.jpeg

I realize the rock 'n' roll Hall of Fame leaves a ton to be desired but Phish and Cyndi Lauper receive more votes than the black crowes, the white stripes and joy division plus New Order. Come on now.

This really shouldn't be such a surprise considering how "voting" goes in US elections

The Smiths not being in or on the list ever is a crime IMO.

When I went 2 years ago, they have a display where you can suggest people who aren't in who should be. Just the day I was there the Smiths had 9 people who were in the building suggest them.

The bands getting more votes definitely mostly skew older and more common.

I'd figure with the state of things in the US right now bands named Joy Division and New Order would be at the top of the list.

saw ACDC last night ... fuckin loud ... Angus Young is pretty amazing ... still rockin it even though he looks like my wifes nana.

Brian Johnson not so much. That voice struggles. Totally still stuffs his trousers

They continue to cash in even though quality was iffy ... $30 for light up red devil horns and there were prob 2000 people wearing them. $70 for tshirts lol

I thought Brian Johnson had called it quits. He is pretty well near deaf if I remember correctly.

When I heard they were touring, I assumed they had found a new singer.

he stepped away for 2 years after the hearing problems but re-joined them ... not sure if he had some sort of procedure that remedied what was going on with his hearing :noidea:
