The Oil could use somebody to stop some pucks.

I really want them to get swept, but I don't think it's going to happen.

You know the Oil are going be flopping more than lake trout in the hopes of drawing penalties tonight. As @esls79 likes to point out, the CA refs will need to be on their game :D

On this day in 1994, the band Live released their third studio album - Throwing Copper. It featured their big hits Selling the Drama, I Alone and Lightning Crashes. As well as hidden gems Waitress, White Discussion and this one, my personal favorite - an homage to their hometown of York Pa:

Not a bad tune on the album, IMO

I spent a lot of time in York as there was a gang of crazy BMXers up there that my gang became good friends with. One of the BMX guys actually went to school with some of band, and even dragged us to see them at some biker bar in Lancaster to see them when they were called "Public Affection". When this album came out and I heard Shit Towne I laughed. All of them hated it there. My bike friends, and apparently the band.

Going real old-school today - Duane Eddy born on this day in 1938 (passed away about a year ago just after his 86th birthday)

Terrific album.
Lead singer was apparently an asshole, but the music holds up

They seemed to just disappear. A couple of really big and good albums then just gone. Seemed that way to me

Sad news today. Mike Peters, lead singer of the Alarm succumbed to Cancer. Cancer sucks.

RIP Mike. Hope that road ahead has opened up for you.

Always liked this song and probably knew it for 15 years before it dawned on me it was about the Stephen King book. The hair is something.....its like @dash 's Samantha Fox poster he got to keep above his bed in his prenup agreement.

He was in a Welsh class my wife took in the early 90s. She didn't know him well, but said he was a nice guy.

Anybody remember The Jam fronted by Paul Weller - They released this single on this day in 1977.

I do, but didn't know them or him until later. And really only know a few songs. Apparently he acts now. Or was at least in a movie called Blitz.
