I like the stuff Bob did with his bands much better than his solo stuff but I really like this song.

By the time I learned of and liked Hüsker Dü they had broken up, but I did see Sugar live and that was a fun show.

On this day in 1981, this tune hit number 1 in the UK - It rose as high as number 3 in the States.

One of my favorite tunes.

Don Cherry (the jazz musician, not the former Bruins coach and HNIC blowhard) was born on this day in 1936. He's the day of Neneh and Eagle-Eye Cherry.

Also on this day in 1956, Fats Domino sang "Blueberry Hill" on the Ed Sullivan show...

How about an anniversary re-release of Do They Know It's Christmas with the only lyric besides the chorus are Bono belting out "Well tonight thank God it's them, instead of you".

U2's Achtung Baby was released on this day in 1991. My favorite from that album:

Some great lyrics.
It's no secret that a conscience can sometimes be a pest
It's no secret ambition bites the nails of success
Every artist is a cannibal, every poet is a thief
All kill their inspiration and sing about the grief

Phenomenal tour too.
