I now know the frustration of small market teams despite my team playing in the biggest market. Our main target this offseason is Ben Zobrist. He's a fine player but why is their main target not Yoenis Cespedes?

Because everybody knows he's going back to Detroit to be a Tiger again. :)

I wouldn't mind seeing Cespedes in a Blue Jays uniform, but I don't think there's a spot for him on the roster (outfield is pretty much set and EE is the DH).

Yoenis is primarily a LF'er so the Jays could trade Revere and sign Cespedes. I'd be cool with that.

What's it like, having a fun offseason? I want to know. Signing free agents...sounds cool.

YOU GET IN ONNNNNNE POSTSEASON AND YOU'RE ALLLLLL COCKY.

*sobs*

Saw the Jays are apparently tango'ing with Chris Davis. Cuz, you know, they need more power.
Well, when your second-best pitcher is going to turn 33 during the season and has exactly 1 good season under his belt, you need dingers.

I say they get Davis to play first, Cespedes to play LF, trade Smoak and Revere for relievers and trade whatever's left of the farm system for Tyson Ross. I smell title.

Cost-wise, they probably would. MLBTR has him projected at $6.7 mil in arb. Lot of money for a backup.

Yeah, though I don't see him getting much back in a trade, either. If they had another option (for example, they knew they had a good shot at signing Yo), he might have been a non-tender candidate.
