Feel free to rip on them more. They're a joke (although some of their moves this trade deadline were decent). They were a small market who went "all in" for one year, which fine, it paid off in that they brought back baseball fans and attendance soared, but man it hurt them long run. Last year they were very flawed, and it ended up with them free falling out of the playoffs by the end. Now they're in a fairly ugly place...but they may have some stellar arms in the next few seasons.
They remind me of Cincy - for years people have acted like they're in the thick of things when really they've just been beating up on the Cubs and inflating their record.

Yep. Yeppppppp. Again, probably sounds like some arrogant fan comment, but there's only a few ways small markets work, and neither really stuck to the scripts that have worked. Although Cincy tried. After Cincy lost the 2013 WC game I thought it'd be about 4 years off for them, and right now it seems like it may be longer, unless these rookie SP become something. They were rolling with a full rookie rotation, which could be okay or could be horrible going forward. Also doesn't help those two that the NL Central may have three heavy weights in it for the foreseeable future.

Also worth noting that with today's sellout, the Jays will move ahead of the Mets in average attendance and will be in the top half of MLB by the end of the weekend.

Rogers, your excuses for not putting money into this team have run out.

As a fan of a Jays team that 4 years ago ran an almost-entirely rookie rotation and saw two of them wind up on the TJ farm, that is a scary prospect.

To the Pirates fans on the board, I'm sorry we cannot be friends this weekend. This series as well as one more against the Nationals and a late September series against the Yankees are the only teams above .500 that the Mets have left on their schedule. If guys stay healthy there are no excuses.

Funny comment seen elsewhere:

"What if Kanye's Mic Toss blessed the Skydome which in turn blessed the Blue Jays?"

Well, I'm already pleased/surprised...Happ pitched masterfully. Also, I'm jealous of that schedule...Pirates have a gauntlet from here on out.

Jays all of a sudden forgot how to hit - Also, give some credit to Tanaka and Nova, two fine pitching performances.

Lost 2 extra inning games to the 2nd best team in the league with our 2 worst pitchers going, not ideal but I'm looking for positives here. Hopefully the Mets avoid the sweep today. Come on Harvey.

I can't get over Friday. That was so fucking boneheaded.

/On a weekend where Price, Estrada and Hutch pitches, Hutch is the one who is flawless?! Go figure.

Sorry, man. We're still friends, right? :p

Pirates 7-2 over the last 9 games against NL division leaders.

Impressive, until you realize that it's 1-2 against our own division leader. :L

The Mets are absolutely horrific against the NL Central this year. No bueno. Oh well, at least it was a good team that swept us. Now on to Baltimore.

Also, what's up with the Jays only scoring in one inning of late - Feel free to spread the runs across multiple innings fellas.

I'm hoping very temporary lull. They need to take two from Philly this week and with no DH that means the regulars gotta get get going. Huge series with the Angels after and there's no room for the bats to be quiet.

Hutch is sent to Buffalo, which is fine but timing is kinda weird given his performance yesterday.

But now it's 4-man rotation time for the next couple weeks so they can use David Price against both the Angels and the Rangers. Makes sense.

Pirates should lose tonight, if only due to karma for the bad puns being thrown around because it is Star Wars night at the ballpark. :L
