That was very close to a grand slam.
As it stands, it's a walk-off single!
You guys hit our pitching staff while they were red hot, by the way. If our offense was slumping like this, but our pitching was where it usually is, you would have swept us.
The Pirates' Russell Martin had a walk-off single Thursday night against the Tigers, but it was no ordinary base hit. Martin's single to deep left center field would have been a home run in 28 of 30 MLB parks. PNC Park and Kauffman Stadium are the only venues where it would not have been a homer.

I played goalie tonight at the outdoor street hockey league. 95 degrees, full gear, and I was the only goalie, so both teams were shooting at me.
I'm exhausted.
