Mets and Pirates have made several deals in the past year, why not make one more for Bartolo Colon? We'll even eat 2 million of his salary for next season.

I think he'd rather eat that.

I'm more worried about next year with him. Right now, ALL IN ON PRICE! GO GO GO! (It's not happening, but I'm super disappointed...so).

Let's just pilfer Cliff Lee from Amaro. Give him some no-name prospect with a lot of RBIs this year or something. He'll like that.

They're literally not going to trade anyone (the Phillies), and that's just so wrong.

There will probably be more action in August when teams get desperate, so we'll see

But it is wrong that they might not trade anybody - they need to do some things

Twitter is the best and the worst. Nothing gets your hopes up like a thousand people tweeting "Pirates pushing hard for Price."

Red Sox have shown how to sell (though their pieces sold are better). It's a little tougher to get good returns on the waiver wire...but it's something.

Yep the Sox pieces are much better

Phillies should be eating salary, because if they have a $180 million payroll, eating money shouldn't be an issue - bite the bullet, get some decent prospects, maybe even better roster players, and move on

Part of this for the Phillies is getting rid of guys and changing the culture - it's not just about the returns for the players, it's obvious that they're not winning with the current group, so get rid of most of them, pave the way for younger players and open up spots

I'm pretty pissed. Other teams in NL Central make moves (not huge) to get better...Pirates banking on the waiver trades.

Tigers/Mariners/Rays three way deal:

Tigers get: David Price
Mariners get: Austin Jackson
Rays get: Nick Franklin, Drew Smyly

I think that's it?

Tampa got a high end SS prospect from Detroit too. That helps...because this looked bad.
