there are 2 opitions for your team

A: Expansion Franchise

or

B: Pheonix Coyotes

Pheonix is a team that is always in or near bottom team playoffs.

Ur Stars: Mike Smith Goalie. Very Agressive within his crease but very good
Radem Verbata; Good point nabber
Keith Yandle: Same as verbata, and that's saying something for a Defenseman

2 maybe 3 are hockey guys so ask any questions (me,destroycare and maybe dk)

Unfortunately since the sale of the Coyotes was approved last August the new owners can't move the Coyotes out of Phoenix for 5 years and only if their losses total $50M or more (which lets be honest, that's pretty much a given). If a team were to relocate you'd probably be looking at a team like the Florida Panthers. However I don't think Bettman wants to give up any of the southern markets he's fought so hard to put teams in and keep them there. The most likely scenario is expansion, which the rumblings are making it sound like is going to happen. The unbalanced conferences kind of point to this as well. One of the great things off the bat is that a Seattle NHL team would have a natural rivalry with Vancouver. Those games would be fun. The NHL sure makes it sound like they want a team in Seattle. We'll see how this unfolds as the off season draws nearer.

Ur Division is gonna look like this:

Edmonton: The Laughing stock of the NHL. Tons Of Offensive Talent........ and that's all

Calgary: A team in rebuilding. 5 years don the line could be dominant

Vancouver: Best years are behind them. We might pop up again but this year we got 8th. BTW looking forward to all the talk about the Sedin sisters( or ikea sisters whatever you want to call them)

San Jose: Read Vancouver(without the sedin sister thing)

Los Angeles: Good team with a Outstanding Goalie duo. Reason there top tier team right now

Anaheim: Hard to talk about Anaheim you know. There are some seasons where you say "What the fuck are they doing?" and their are seasons like this year.

This is unfortunately true. They have by all accounts drafted great players but they just don't seem to mesh as a team. They really need to get some size and toughness on the blueline if you ask me.

At least I can always look back at the Oilers old dusty trophies and that 80's dream team with fond memories. Gretzky, Messier, Kurri, Coffey, Lowe, Fuhr, Anderson........ahhhhh the good ol' days. I could possibly use Hammer's law on myself.

would LOVE to get a hockey team in Seattle.

Not gonna happen until the NBA guys build the building though.

Vancouver Seattle rivalry would be fun!

As a nhl guy how likely is it we see expansion? Are there any other teams likely to move? sounds like phoenix was given a pardon by the governor.

And in related news, USA team member TJ Oshie is a Washington State native who learned to play hockey in Mountlake Terrace. He scored the winning goal today in the overtime shootout against Russia. In fact he took 5 straight turns in the shootout including that last winning shot.

It can't hurt the chances of raising the attention of hockey in this area to have a local hockey star shine on the international stage during the time the league is flirting with putting a team here.

Still think there are a great number of hurdles with the NBA stuff stalled out and no suitable home for a NHL team here, but this adds a little bit of intrigue to the process.
