It would be an NFL team for me. Long term work stability in a fair and even system. Small market and big market both teams can make money and if they draft well and sign well any team can win it all. Both players and owners make a lot of money and while they have some minor debates over things neither side seems to want to r*pe the other side.
I dont think I'd buy a sports team in a league without some type of competitive balance.

If I could own an NFL team it would be the Chargers.

The Chargers are on a year to year lease with Qualcomm Stadium. I'd give San Diego County 1 more year to give me a location for my new stadium. If they can't do so within that time I'd move the team back to LOS ANGELES where they started. I'd own SO CAL FOOTBALL!!

You're right. With the multi-billion dollar TV contracts I doubt any NFL team loses money. They get TV money from CBS, NBC, ABC, FOX & ESPN. NFL Network is expanding their schedule this year as well. There's also the contract they have with Direc TV for NFL Sunday Ticket.

This year Direc TV has lowered the price significantly to $199.95!!

i think its the seahawks

toronto thinks they are above the cfl so the argos always play to a half empty rogers centre

/yup seahawks dec 16 ... looks like they have a lot of tickets sold ... they had to drastically reduce the price of the tickets from previous years though ... because even though toronto loves the nfl ... they dont all necessarily love the bills ... theyre all cfl hatin frontrunners lol

No the Bills do not lose money. They got a sweet deal from Rogers that pays them 9 mil per game played in TO.

I don't think any NFL team loses money.

Yes they were jstew. As mentioned they have lowered the ticket prices a lot since the first year.

My cousin lives in TO and is a big Bills fans said the games up there suck big time. Everything is so expensive he prefers to see the games at The Ralph. They don't even allow tail gate parties in TO and going to an NFL game with no pr game party is just flat out wrong.

If & when the Bills are put up for sale who in Toronto would buy them if the team could move?

thats a good question because i think Ted Rogers was the big booster for getting an NFL team in toronto

he's dead now

and the experience with the Bills has been a mini-disaster financially so i dont think shareholders would like the company to throw money away

BUT

I think they may have finally found their price point to where they will make money this year on this nfl experiment

its basically been an nfl tryout for rogers the past couple of years

You just fucked up my day !!!!!

I think alot of cdns hope buffalo keeps their Bills ... would be really hard on the cfl to lose the main national corporate sponsorship market ... even though the Argos arent supported well

A Buffalo TV station interviewed fans from TO at one of the games up there and that was the general consensus. They would like TO to have a team but not at Buffalos expense. Most of them also said they prefer watching the Bills play here over playing at the dome. They said the atmosphere inside and outside of the stadium is completely different.

They have been around almost 100 years right? They do have a lot of history that's for sure and it's a good product. Some of those games are fun to watch.

Very cool. When Disney first started they showed a lot of CFL games on TV. That's why so many people found out how good Warren Moon was. Obviously nobody paid any attention to him while he was at Washington.

Now the only time we see any CFL is a highlight of a great play or if NFL network decides to show a game.
