OT I want to go home

I miss watching the sports and hearing hockey scores. I miss seeing people that have all of their teeth. I miss people blasting their car horns if you're not moving .01 sec after the light turns green.

I miss noise other than the occasional sound of target shooting in the distance. I miss a good pizza and wings.

I went into a store yesterday and was greeted with a "howdy" and replied in kind!

Boss is home sick folks. I hope things go well tomorrow for my bro in law so I can get back north and never hear about Clemson football again.

If you are religious please pray for me if not just keep me in your thought's

i know the feeling bossman. certainly be praying for ya. homesickness (for me at least) is always at it's worst during pens/steelers games...especially when they do some panorama of the city.

I moved away 11 years ago, and while I love it here, I still get homesick like that.

Thanks pix, Most people know why I am here and I hope they don't get the impression I don't love my family because I do but I guess most of us are just happier in our normal surroundings.

When we went down south over the summer the biggest problem I had was adjusting to the food.I never realized how spoiled we are in ny.to be honest I think there's something wrong with the water down there I couldn't even find a good cup of coffee.best mc luck on a speedy return boss

Yeah, the food down here SUCKS. No ethnic variety whatsoever. Bland as hell too.

That's exactly what I was thinking of when I mentioned "ethnic". No. There is a yearly "World of Nations" festival in the spring which has a Polish food tent...but no German.

There is a decent European deli that serves German/Polish items...but it's in St. Augustine, about 45 minutes away from me.

I really enjoyed the 18 months I lived in Atlanta...Savannah was a very cool place to visit as well.
