I am taking an American Govt class this semester and today's lecture was how about the medias exploitation of real life violence is falsely leading people to believe that our society is getting more violent but in reality the national violent crime rate has been consistently dropping over the last 25 years. Innnnteresting.

I believe I've mentioned this in the past, but my last 2 years of college there were multiple bomb threats called in, mostly assholes that didn't want to take a final or thought it would be funny, and it was bad how accustomed everyone got to it. It was a total boy who cried wolf situation where people didn't take them seriously anymore. People are fucked up, not sure that will ever change.

Actually this is a big ordeal. There are numerous cases going on right now... And they're claiming it is people with "middle eastern" accents. That film is causing quite the stir.

We will see. It may just be some attention-whore students.

My point being that AQ and most of the radical islamic groups would never warn anyone. It isn't their MO. They want to cause the most deaths. In fact, we are lucky that we are kind of a lazy society because if the planes had hit the towers at 11:00 and not 9:00 the death toll may have been triple what it was for 9-11. They figured the towers would be full of workers.
