I would not gamble wounded players that may not pan out. Smith may be a wasted pick.

If they were going to gamble on a wounded player why not pick Jack. Now from what I heard on NFL if he is healthy he is a Kuechly type player.

Jack's knee is a ticking time bomb. You'll just have to wait a year on this guy.

True from what I posted earlier but then I heard someone say that he would need any micro surgery but that ay be a PR move. Also, did not realize the Cowboys team doctor did the surgery on Smith.

Yeah, Jack might have 5 years before he's done forever. This guy should have a hell of a career if the surgery took. It was the Cowboys surgeon that did it, so they should know first hand the extent etc.

Are you talking about Jack or Smith?

Guy is 6'3" and 311 lbs. Quick off the ball according the NFL Network and stated he will be a project but could be really good player in the middle.

Jaylon Smith minus the nerve damage would have been a top 5 overall pick. He was a better player than Myles Jack. He didn't win the Butkus award as the nation's best LB for nothing. He blew out his ACL and LCL in his bowl game, so I just assumed he wasn't even an option. I had no idea his recovery was going as well as it is and that it was really only the nerves keeping him from playing. Their team doctor apparently fully signed off on him though, so we might get a total stud in 2017.

And the quote I read was that Rod Marinelli was as giddy as a little kid at Christmas and practically ran the draft card up to the podium himself.

I'll admit to being totally ignorant on his situation, but it does sound optimistic.

That's 2 really good Big 12 receivers drafted by NFC East rivals now. Not liking that.

Yeah and we still have a secondary that cant cover shit with a blanket and no pass rush. We better score 40 points a game
