Unless its something career changing or ending, you have to go Jack at 34, they already showed with their first pick this draft is about more than next year
If Jack is not there then who would you like to see us take? Kevin Dodd or his teammate Alexander or Reed from Alabama? Or is there someone else you think would be better? Not sure if we should focus on a DE or CB or if it really matters.

Article on DMN stating Cowboys will not take Jack that high. Here is an excerpt from the article. It is a little concerning.

The UCLA linebacker is regarded as one of the most talented players in this draft. But Jack tore the meniscus in his right knee in September and missed the remainder of his season. It turns out that Jack has a degenerative condition in his right knee that could require microfracture surgery at an early stage of his career.

Jack has not been removed from the Cowboys' board, sources said. But they have determined that the risk of taking Jack with the third pick of the second round is too high to warrant his selection at No. 34 if he's still available.

Dodd, Robinson, Ragland, Reed all come to mind

Then I say you look at the list of players after him if you're that concerned, there are some really good defenders out there available

Curious to see when some more Big 12 players come off the board. Guys like Shepard, Tapper, Joseph, and Boykin could provide some good value.

What do you think of Emmanuel Ogbah? I have heard his name thrown around some but do not know much about him.

Joseph went like 14th yesterday to the Raiders. But I see Boykin as a 6th rounder type myself.

Your boy Shepard holds some intrigue for me though.

Didn't realize Joseph came off the board. I see Boykin as a guy you take a chance on late in the draft if you've got a quarterback he can study under for a few years. He's nowhere near NFL ready right now, but he's got all the talent you want.

He's good. Probably overrated imp. Our RS freshman gave him all he wanted in bedlam.

Not sure if Boykin possibly makes a position change in the NFL

I read WR from one guy, and DB from another. But both seemed pretty adamant QB is in his rear-view mirror.

That was my thought and I figured WR was probably the most likely, though I hadn't heard the DB possibility. Interesting nonetheless

Yeah, DB seems to make the most sense.

Personally, I'm gonna be cheering for him to make spot for himself, if nothing else, on a practice squad for 2016. He's shown some spunk, and good work ethic. Like seeing young men like this have success.

Why do you say DB makes the most sense? Just curious, I haven't read or heard much about him...

maybe he should play CF in the Rangers system next year is what I was thinking

I know he was RB initially in high school. When he first played for TCU was he not a WR and then later became their QB because of some issues with the current QB?

Dodd could be a good pick for Tennessee.

I am shocked by picking Jaylon Smith. Don't know that much about that guy.
