gaga's monotone throughout is super annoying.
reminds me that I should watch the first one again though.
I liked it and thought she was great in it. She is the center of the whole movie and grounded it so I think its odd she was not nominated. I know comedic performances often get over-looked. Emma being nominated for Poor Things, a comedy, was probably all the comedy the academy could handle.Barbie was great. I loved it.
Ryan Gosling, Oscar nominated for "Barbie" role, speaks out after Academy snubs Margot Robbie, Greta Gerwig
"Barbie" was nominated for eight awards, but director Greta Gerwig and star Margot Robbie were notably snubbed. Ryan Gosling, who was nominated, said "there is no Ken without Barbie."www.cbsnews.com
now my question is doesn't most best pictures have their directors nominated as well? Its odd that it wouldn't be linked and I can see why the outrage of the director of barbie not getting a nomination. I thought she deserved it.
but for Margot Robbie not getting the nomination, I am not going to say that she deserves it over those other actresses that were nominated as I have not seen all there performances. The other female costar was nominated as best supporting and rightfully so. Margot was great but I still cant say it was oscar worthy.
would it be worse just to nominate Margot for the sake of nominating her because of the plot of the movie? yeah I would think so
that's like awarding the oscar to Russell Crowe for Gladiator when he truly deserved it the year before for A beautiful Mind but loss to Denzel (no way he should have lost to Training Day)

I never understood how a best picture nominee movie would not have the director nominated too. She made a fun odd movie and if it was nominated so should she. It's not like it was a paint by numbers courtroom drama.
I defended the Oscars for years, but they are a joke. Biopics reign supreme and actors doing impersonations of people are often awarded while others who flesh out characters far greater are ignored. Comedies are usually ignored and the academy seems to think if its a hit - its crap.
we are two episodes in. Really like this

I enjoyed itLaugh if you want but I thought Dungeons And Dragons was fantastic. The right mix of tension and comedy. Really good.
I know nothing about the game or cartoon. Not judging, I just dont know.I enjoyed it
I believe they are making a sequel
My favourite part was the first group to die in the maze was dressed as the original cartoon. Characters from the 90s
it like a bad cosplay lollol. I like Michael Douglas and this is a biopic so it will probably win every award, but I cannot look at him as Benjamin Franklin without laughing.
