You would've expected things to be better with all the guys coming back from the 2 games of suspension, but there was absolutely no gap discipline by the front 7 and the corners don't know what man to man coverage is apparently
When does Brown get fired by Texas?
If bamas DB's hadn't been playing with their heads up their asses they would've won by 17.
I think Mike Evans is the thing that kept the Ags in it. He's Manziels security blanket this year.Had A&M's front 7 played with any gap discipline and A&M would've won by 17, it works both ways, but they didn't and Bama won by 7 instead

279 yards.....Evans kept them in the game. Yes Malcolm might have caught 3 balls in the red zone for TDs, but they wouldn't have been there without Evans all out effort all game long. He had to come off the field because he was wiped. That kind of effort goes a long way. Dude earned my respect yesterday.Malcome Kennedy had 3 touchdown catches himself, its not just Evans
But you're right, Evans is Manziel's go to guy, but there are plenty of weapons on the offense

I give credit to Manziel for being elusive. After the ball leaves his hands he really has nothing else to do with the play but hope Evans or whoever catches is. Evans came up with just about every 50/50 ball possible yesterday. I think that game is a blowout if Evans isn't playing. He and Manziel both need each other.Someone has to get him the ball, you can't give credit to Evans without giving credit to Manziel
Evans is a beast, and he LIKES to block

Neither defense was any good. I also don't think a Kevin Sumlin team is built to rely on his defense. He's there to put up points and make all the yards they allow irrelevant. Yesterday that didn't happen, because of the two turnovers and lots of penalties. Its a blowout without Manziel in there too
Once again the real issue though is the fact that defense do ANYTHING in the gaps, it was pathetic, I expect it will get better once the guys get a chance to actually play together in a game, but that was a rough first game to play as a complete unit for the first time

TAMU has no defense and should not be rated so high. Manziel and the offense has to score to many points every game. I really want them to keep it up but that defense must step up. With out JM it spells disaster.Manziel went down hard and now cannot throw. Return is doubtful. Can their offense score and win the game for them? Can their defense hold Auburn?!
TAMU is going to win because Auburn's RB was too zealous. He has to know the situation there...he scored a TD on second down. Great job Auburn.TAMU has no defense and should not be rated so high.
