Old Milwaukee Beer - Not only is the guy an idiot, but he clearly has no taste


Okanagan RCMP have found the perfect example of how not to drive a car — just in time for distracted driving month.

The driver in the spotlight is a 30-year-old Vernon man who stunned a North Okanagan RCMP officer last week when he was spotted at a traffic light in his Dodge pick-up talking on his cellphone, while enjoying a refreshing can of Old Milwaukee beer.

“So here we have an individual who’s not only talking on the phone — he’s drinking a beer at the same time,” said Okanagan RCMP spokesman Gord Molendyk. “He’s committing two illegal acts.”

The officer caught the man while stopped at 32nd Street and 43rd Avenue.

“This is a very busy intersection here in Vernon,” said Molendyk.

When the man realized he was caught, he dropped the cellphone, but the officer pulled him over in a nearby parking lot.

At the traffic stop, the officer soon realized the man also had an open case of beer in the passenger seat, with the 14 cans remaining.

“I don’t know how far he was going to go ... but he did have a quantity of liquor beside him,” said Molendyk. “I don’t know what his final destination (was).”

A sobriety test was performed at the time and the man passed, so he was not driving impaired, said Molendyk.

The man was issued a $167 ticket for talking on his cellphone and a $230 ticket for having open liquor in his truck. He was then sent on his way — without his beer.

“For the last year or more ... we’ve been telling everybody about the dangers of distracted driving,” said Molendyk.

“The message is — and it has been all along — traffic safety.”

RCMP are trying to reiterate this for distracted driving month this September, especially with schools back in session.

“It’s a big push for everybody to really pay close attention.”

so yah ... i watched some of that honey boo boo and the part i saw was a big tub of goo sayig that she didnt want to take her sock off to get a pedicure because she had her foot run over by a forklift at the warehouse so some smurfette tub of goo ended up painting toenails onto her sock
