Come say hi in the Padres forum, man. I'm going to be active over there.
Will do.

Not quite sure what you mean by "siding with you" but if you mean saying "leave the poor fella alone" then I agree. That's the majority opinion and doesn't surprise me at all.
On Monday, two days after Kansas City Chiefs linebacker Jovan Belcher murdered his girlfriend and then committed suicide, I wrote about domestic violence and the NFL. In that post, I looked at a San Diego Union-Tribune database of NFL arrest records and searched for incidents domestic violence or sexual assault. I found that 21 of 32 NFL teams, at one point this year, had employed a player with a domestic violence or sexual assault charge on his record.
close to what i meant.. they seem to think there are bigger stories / bigger problems out there.. wanting to string him up by his testacles is a little severe for the crime IMO.. if you wanna string someone up by their testacles lets go after lewis, simpson, dez bryant, ben roethlisberger, or anybody that contributed to this fact
those are the guys we need to be going after, but where are the threads on them? where is the public outcry for the law to hunt them down? lance armstrong deserves to be punished, he's a bad person, but if we're only going to talk about 1 side of the coin, lets talk about the side that needs more attention
Jovan Belcher murder/suicide: No, seriously, the NFL really does have a domestic violence problem.
for citing purposes
Armstrong went after & ruined a lot of people during his career. Those people are going to want their day in court.

and they should get it.. all i'm saying is if this story gets this type of coverage, all the domestic violence headlines need to be more than a scroll on ESPN's bottom line and they need to garner more than a shrug from everyone in the industry

I hear ya, man but I'm having a hard time understanding how OJ Simpson killing his wife is an excuse to leave this poor widdle guy alone. Lance Armstrong needs to be held accountable for what he did, nothing more. What Ray Lewis allegedly did years ago and Albert Haynesworth stomping on Adre Gurrode (sp?) and... every other scumbag move by pro athletes has nothing to do with this guy. Lance Armstrong has more apologists in his corner than any athlete in history, bar none!
So some guy slapping his wife should be front and center but the most complex cheating scandal in organized sports history that led a doper to dominate an entire sport for a decade while sanctimoniously holding his nose in the air and abusing anyone/everyone who dared question the obvious should be buried, right?
in my defense, i think all the steroid crap in baseball is way overblown too, always have.. the only person that shouldve been hunted down and character assisinated was roger clemens, because he comitted perjury (and somehow got away with it).. everyone was using steroids in baseball, it was a problem, but it wasn't worth dominating headlines for multiple years and getting freakin congress involved (another issue in and of itself)
Rafael Palmeiro did far worse than Clemens. He looked right into the camera & said he didn't do it. Only to find out he failed a drug test. The Government didn't go after him. What a joke.
maybe i have the wrong guy, or maybe there were multiple.. but sammy sosa, mark mcguire, barry bonds, to my knowledge never lied in court
Palmeiro did this during the hearings congress had. He didn't do it on the stand, he did it afterward.
...and Raffy largely gets a free pass for that and the only guy telling the truth about 'roids was Jose Canseco is treated like the villain. It's really outrageous. I wish Canseco had slapped Raffy in the face for that little act of his.
maybe i have the wrong guy, or maybe there were multiple.. but sammy sosa, mark mcguire, barry bonds, to my knowledge never lied in court.. but they are definitely headliners in the story
per·ju·ry (pûrj-r)
n. pl. per·ju·ries
1. Law The deliberate, willful giving of false, misleading, or incomplete testimony under oath.
2. The breach of an oath or promise.
Happens every day in every courtroom in the country and frankly doesn't mean shit anymore. If we prosecuted every person that committed perjury we would need 100,000 more prisons and every politician in Washington would be in one of them.
perhaps.. doesn't make me feel any better about things though boss
