I don't understand the suing (other than for libel) or jailtime talk. Which laws did he break? Fraud, maybe? I mean, he definitely profited off cheating, but so did McGuire, Sosa, Bonds, some Olympians, etc... It's a pretty slippery slope. I mean, if somebody cheats on a school test, gets a good degree, and then gets a job they don't deserve, do they get jail time for that?
He opens himself up for civil lawsuits. They had a lawyer on ESPN radio talking about it, and he said the Postal Service alone can sue him for 120 million because he broke the agreement of their contract.
The Postal Service gave Lance about 40 million of the years and the contract he signed states that they can sue him for 3x the amount if he does anything that tarnishes his image and thus making the Postal Service look bad.
Lance sued a company when they wouldn't sponser him for 5 million because they didn't believe he never cheated. Lance took them to court and was awarded 77.5 million.
He also sued a reporter in England for 1 million when the reporter wrote about him cheating in cycling.
The list goes on and on....
Over the years Lance has attacked people and made them suffer while denying he ever cheated. Sometimes payback is a bitch.

Yikes. Didn't realize it went to that extent. Well, obviously, you'd have to think some of those lawsuits will get reversed and then some.
I doubt Postal Service has a case. It was their team, and while he was a leader, he wasn't in charge. They're implicated as well, as far as I'm concerned.
Personally, I think he's always been a douche, but the outrage from (some of) the cycling world is a bit rich, as that sport profited like never before, both financially and in terms of popularity, during his run. Alot of people looked the other way.
For the life of me I will never figure out the "yeah, but there are worse people than him excuse." Hell, Sandusky should go into court and beg for mercy because Hitler was worse than him. It. Makes. No. Sense.
You should spend some time and look into Lance Armstrong and his bully henchmen and what they did to people's lives. I did and that's why I'd love to see him hung by his ball. Do you really think this is just a petty little case of taking a shortcut to victory?
i mean look at who gets vilified the most in the sports world
1. Roger Clemens
2. Pete Rose
3. Lance Armstrong
4. OJ Simpson
5. Saints Bounty Case
that's about all i can think of so nobody else must be too vilified.. but look at where 'our' priorities are in that.. the 3 biggest villians in sports right now hurt NOBODY.. OJ Simpson killed someone, the saints paid players to hurt people, and guys like ray lewis don't even make the list because the media is too focused on how good of a football player he was in his career to worry about the men that died 10 years ago
Now Lance Armstrong is "vilified?" You really must be joking. Glorified is more like it!
looks like in this thread the common opinion is siding with me, so maybe he's less vilified then i thought haha
He deserves exactly what he dished out. I hope he ends up broke, miserable and lonely. He's a piece of shit.

I couldn't agree more.
