I suppose some 49er fans got intoxicated with this unaccustomed winning thing...just like, if you go on the wagon for a while, then fall off, it hits you especially hard. Have the 49ers forgotten how to be good winners, and, at the end of the season, good sports? The threats on KW & family's lives, and now this...heinous.
Not to mention the bandwagonists and the E Bay wannabe gangbangers who jumped on the bandwagon when the Raiders became irrelevant...

That's SJ downtown. You could see a bunch of similar fights outside any club there on a thurs-sat night.

Exactly. We always talk like the Raider fans act this way, but it looks like the gap is getting smaller.

I guess you can't really punish this kind of behavior any different than if it was just some guys who got in a fight over a spilled beer, but in a way it's almost in need of it's own category like a hate crime. How is it any different going and stabbing/fighting/ putting a guy in a coma because he likes a different team than you...compared to doing the same because a guy happens to be gay, or Mexican etc??

I think so too. Santa Clara is very police heavy. Lots of cops live there.
