Na there's always one guy who rides the end of the bench on team USA. Barnes is the man this time around

I doubt that. Coach Kruzawooooski said in an interview recently that if he was the HC of the '92 Dream Team he would have put Jordan @ the end of the bench.

One of my co-workers is from Brazil and it is really a dangerous place.

Yeah, I visited a few years back and made sure I was back on the boat 4 hours before sundown everyday.

Straight slums in a lot of areas.

I wouldn't play Barnes either.

This is Mike's last Olympics.

He's not taking a L to massage a average players ego.

The best part about that picture is that meeting each other was probably one of the highlights of the games for both of them.

Living legends.

Well, he's better than Wesley Johnson and the corpse of Paul Pierce.

Hey, there will be no more lurking in the cyber-bushes now that it lists your name at the bottom of the page.

I agree with everything you said in the first 2 paragraphs.

Simply shuffling the lineup won't fix the problems though. Yes, a lineup of:

Lowry, Klay, George, Durant/Melo and Jordan would work better, but there are still problems. Too many ball dominant scorers in this team, especially considering some don't want to defend.

Yeah, you're right that it won't fix everything. But that's why I said "it it was it is". They're just going to have to shuffle some players around to see what works best. I complained about the lack of PGs and dual position guards when the roster was being put together. It's too late now though. They've got enough talent to win gold but if they keep their current play up, they'll drop a game, which at this stage now means no gold. At the very least, K should treat them like his Duke team and yell at them some. Maybe that'll wake them up.

Kyrie Irving finished with 10 points and tied the U.S. Olympic game record for assists after passing out 12.

When you have time to clown DURING a 9 second race, you know you're a BEAST.

No doubt. The problem is, they'd get blown out while playing withing their roles. I think this current team is put together the way it is because of the guys who chose not to play.

I don't know if it was Zika and safety concerns that kept them away, but when guys like Lebron, CP3 and Steph Curry decided not to play, it completely changed the overall chemistry of the team. Imo, if they added even one of those 3, the team would be much better because they'd make sure the ball was moving like it should be.

The bold is simply not true. We have an overwhelming talent/athleticism advantage despite missing top players and we are struggling. We could have sacrificed on the talent side and gotten players that played a role, could defend a pick and role, not get back cut, and are used to playing without the ball in their hands and we would still have a talent advantage.

These other countries are showing that talent is beatable. Playing as a team, fundamentals, skills, and determination despite a major talent gap has kept these teams in games. They're getting easy buckets on back cuts, pick and rolls, etc. and they're playing good team defense and America is just relying on talent and athleticism.

I am impressed with our assist:fgm ratio the last couple of games though.
