Why didn't they just drain it and re-fill it if they had 2 whole days of nobody using it and literally had no idea wtf was going on with the water?

4 or 5 years ago I spent almost an entire year (weekend work) levelling my back yard and putting in a retaining wall so i could then put in one of those Costco swing sets for the kids ... resulted in me having to start going to a chiropractor for the first time in my life

so what happens ... Penny comes on the scene and my kids who love to swim catch Olympic fever and now my wife want us to replace the swingset with a pool

would have been better if I cancelled my Bell TV subscription for the summer

In a shocking development at the women's 10000 meters race, two ladies from Ethiopia and a lady from Kenya are on the podium (winner from Ethiopia shattered the world record and lapped several participants in doing so).

By the way, the winning time in the women's 10K was 29 minutes, 17 seconds. I ran the Melissa's 10K in Banff back in my younger days and finished in 46 minutes :(

I already told you, nothing is wrong.

I think it's funny that the German word for pool is Schwimmbad

The German word for the Brazil pool is apparently Schmellbadd

My 10 year old has decided that Volley ball is for her. If there were another of her standing on her shoulders, she might be able to touch the top of the net.

I wouldn't mind putting in a sand pit in the back yard. Practice my bunker play when she's not looking.

So there's a thing going around facebook about how if Maryland were a country, they'd be in second place in gold medals.

While technically true, if one particular house in Towson was a country, they'd be third. Simmer down.

Never! ;)

So a recap of yesterday's Olympic awesomeness...

-Penny became the youngest gold medalist ever
-Simone Biles fulfilled destiny with a gold and Aly Raisman right behind her with silver
-Simone Manuel becomes the first African American swimmer to win individual gold
-Phelps won his 13th individual gold medal to move past Leonidas of Rhodes and a 2,168 year-old record

Heck of a day. Reached for comment, Leonidas was not pleased...

Oh look, a sea roach painted with part of my family crest!

I know you have forsaken Maryland for the vibrant and exciting lifestyle and edgy arts scene of suburban Ohio, but you really don't like crabs? ;)

Graham DeLaet finishes at -4 after round 2 with a 1 over 71. Still in the hunt going into round 3 tomorrow.

That's awesome for Graham. Hope he brings home the gold!

It's too bad they didn't make this a team, Ryder-Cup style event. That would have been so much more fun.

Correction on Graham's score - He birdied 18 to finish at -5 (even par on the day). Good luck tomorrow Graham.

Bottom feeding vermin that have been living on the toxic sludge and dead bodies in the Chesapeake that you have to beat with a hammer for 30 minutes to get 2oz of meat out of? What's not to love?

I especially love the asbestos shavings they coat them with!
