Oklahoma will beat Oklahoma State and play LSU. They will lose bad too. Media has a hard on for OU and they will go over Oregon.

I can kind of see the argument from the Oregon fans that they are improved. I feel like the first game is sometimes kind of a wash because it is the first game of the season and you have to get the kinks out of the armor.

Having said that, I don't think it is really fair for LSU to play Bama and Oregon again since we already beat both of them away from home as well I might add.

That I can agree with. You formed an opinion without any barbs or jabs. Well done.

As for rematch. It would be my least favorite option too. I hate the fact that Oregon will likely have to beat Arizona State again. CCG's are stupid.

With that said, if it came down to Oregon vs Bama my homer argument is this:

First game of the season at a "neutral" site. 4 turnovers by young players inside the 20. Other than one last night DAT hadn't fumbled since (true freshman). We're healthy now. We will have actually won our division and our conference. Will have played a CCG just like LSU.

Bama... good defense. Offense couldn't score. Can't even win division let alone conference. IF allowed in means that the win LSU had over them was pointless as actually Bama ended up better off since they will not have had to play a CCG for the "right" to play. LSU will have to beat a team for the right to play a team they already beat in conference which in turn didn't have to play that extra game.

Anyway it's all moot. OU will beat Okie Lite and will be #2.

Oregon deserves a rematch as much as Alabama does. Which is to say, they don't.

Of course if LSU loses (to Arkansas or in the SEC CCG), then they are in the discussion. So is Alabama in that case (at least of Arky beats LSU and the Tide go to Atlanta).

A (one) bye week is helpful. Taking 5 weeks off instead of 4 is a disadvantage. There's a difference between a rest and going a month without playing football.

We don't have playoffs like the NFL which is WHY we shouldn't be running rematches in College.
