The bolded I cannot say would be the case. Though I think a Boise vs. Nebraska matchup would be very interesting.......wish I could see that go down.

Conference USA is a passing league and Northwestern happens to have one of the worst pass defenses.

I don't see how anyone would rather see Oregon rematch LSU over Alabama. Are more TD's really that meaningful? Bama lost to them by 3 points in OT!! If Okie st. loses to OU, it would be stupid if OU or Oregon went over Bama. That game was evenly played and Bama left so many points on the field, that's part of the game, but Bama is the best team to play LSU if there are a bunch of 1 losses to choose from.

Right now they are one of the most impressive teams in the country. If Oklahoma beats Oklahoma State, Oregon should be considered.

they should be in the discussion. if the final vote has a bunch of 1-loss teams and LSU, the positioning will be crazy. at that point it will be whoever the pollsters want to see play, regardless of when, where, who, or how they team lost...though that will all be considered...

Well, the thing is, I look back and I don't think Oregon is the same team they were in week 1. I think they are a lot better now. So that is what I'm basing that on. I think Oregon should be the first team to get consideration, then Alabama, then Oklahoma.

But it will be Alabama, so don't worry.

I don't think so. For numerous reasons. Reasonable reasons.

Edit: We can speculate all we want about match ups that will never happen but..
The order is
1. LSU
2. Okie Lite
3. Bama
4. OU
5. Oregon
Oregon has to hope for the two 1 loss teams in front of them to lose for their shot at the NCG.
